Celebrating students from BA Hons of London College of Fashion graduating the year of 2012. I particularly liked the interactive atmosphere in the factory, given to life with high standards and professionalism of product designs in both footwear, jewellery and designer clothing. Looking at the quality and functionality of these products, I can imagine them manufactured and seen from a marketing point of view. Fashion and business, quality and exclusivity, who knows what will be next for these designers. Featuring photos from my favourite designs in footwear, relating to the whole concept of Architecture. The construction through tectonic forms of the materiality, regardless of the average human weight should be held by the foundations, such like a heel made of a singular heel pole that looks impossible to walk in, but for practicality reasons does it work? Taking into consideration of Shoe designs, is it most comfortable, practical and structural? [Next Post: Part 2 Showcasing Models and clothes designers]
Im totally amazed. This Exhibition is awesome!
ReplyDeleteHi Toni, thanks for featuring my shoes in your blog and for the nice words about the exhibition. It was good to chat to you briefly and I hope your career as an architect takes off. Love the website! Oh and if you or any of your readers are interested you can see more of the shoes and design process by going on the showtime.arts.ac.uk website that has all the profiles and portfolios of work of the LCF students featured.

I like Rosanna Gault's shoes, although all the girls I know who've worn metal heels like that have broken them at some point, and they usually can't be repaired...
ReplyDeleteHi Toni, I just came across your page when I saw my shoes featured. Anyway once again, thanks for featuring my work on your website. I like how you are able to juggle both topics of architect and fashion at the same time...also in addition how they link up. The heels does look like glass doesn't it?
