[LB] Burgundy Items

[Bag] Vintage Wood Box [Boots] Hudsons [Trousers] Confessions [Jean Jacket] Topman [Scarf] Topman
Burgundy has always been a favourite colour, as its not too bold or bright or too dark. Inspiration for this look, matching similar colour tones through accessories and items to create a combined look. Newest items to the wardrobe, the Monki confession burgundy trousers and snood scarf. Bringing a new interpretation of bags. A hand crafted vintage Wine Box. The matching maroon vanished red on the box compliments my outfit with the similar burgundy tones. Credit goes to the craftsman that made the wood box, its become a handy everyday A4 sized holder. Something new and fresh is the box adds character yet 21st century detailing of the belt and buckles.

Venice: St Marks & Sunsets

Fifth and final day in Venice, here are some overview pictures of Venice. St Marks Square, the main tourist attraction place, for the museums, the heart of designer shops and expensive restaurant. I have enjoyed my time at Venice for the second time, but for me its more for a touristy holiday. Generally not great for night life or the wide options for food, just more for visiting and experience Venice through its history, architecture, islands and catching several water taxis. If your feeling the romantic side, capture the Gondolas.

The passion in Italian food, pizza, pasta and seafood!
The silhouette of the man on the Boat is taking a breathtaking photo too!

[LB] Toned Down

A rather chilly cold day in Venice, but rather sunny. Wrapped up warm with layers of cardigans, a wooly bean hat and military carrot fitted trousers. Pretty much everything was on cotton and wool. I like my oversized Iowa Cardigan (All Saints) matched with the grey rucksack

Venice Day Four

Venetian Architecture is very selective about the roman Palladian style churches.  Just like the Santa Maria Della Salute Church it is eye catching from up close and a far, uncommon to this early era of design in 17th Century. The Traditional pillars, columns and picturesque statues, is breathtaking on the exterior and interior detail.

[LB] Venice Day Three

Why am I in Venice? Here for a architecture study of Light & Water, what better city to experience these themes for a project. The constant flow of water, a working environment in a distressed city with alot of historic stories and events. Some of which have had many hollywood films, such as The Tourist with Johnny Dept, Indian Jones etc.
Photographs of the Rialto Bridge, main centre for markets- importing and trading goods
Catching yet another water taxi to the Venice Beach on another Island, where it felt like real land. Normal street roads instead of water and bridges, i felt stable on normal grounds. Walking through the town and spotting rows and rows of vintage bicycles!
I have never seen so many rows of chained bicycles
Heres to the end of yet another tiring day, but what a beautiful sunset and architecture silhouette captured on the boat taxi home. This pretty sums up my Venice experience so far, the construction cranes, water, amazing warm colours and the silhouette of the church.

[LB] Venice Day Two

A bright and early start to the day, catching a water taxi on the Grand Canal towards the ILLUMInazioni Exhibitions. A new experience for public transport, passing the distressed architecture on the river. In the early morning you get a sense of Venice at its busy working hours and transportation of produces.

DHL express delivery on the boat

Although it looked sunny, it was rather cold! Knitwear was an essential for this festive month heading towards the climax of Christmas holidays. The warm & thick Knitted jumper from Bershka, just like several other highstreet brands, comes in many pattern and buttoned designs. Keeping with the autumn colour palette of browns and orange tones, used to combine today's outfit.

[LB] Venice Day One

On the way to Stansted Airport, to greet onto the ryanair experience. Not the best of mid-air flights, I guess you pay for a cheap flight for a reason. The stampede of people boarding the plane was like running to the finish line in a race (Speedy Gonzalez). A couples of hours in mid-air flight we arrive to Venice Marco Polo, settling down in the hotel and wondered the water city.

Bon apetite to the first dinner in Venice. Traditional choices of Spaghetti, pasta & pizzas from the menu.

I will be document my 5 days in Venice, daily outfits, places & Architecture...stay tuned!

[LB] Autumn, Books & Venice

With the autumn leaves falling and the season getting colder, it's time to wrap up warm! Pull up your wooly socks, cardigans and knitted accessories for the winters day. What's currently hot in the market?  Looking at trend research on the streets, shops & a magazine I picked up today, I had spotted the current trends. Tweed countryside materials, blazers, hiking boots and two toned patched shoulder/elbow pads on sweaters is hitting popular with the market. Colour Palettes of browns, reds, olive greens and grey are the current autumn tones and trends this season. With only 2 days to go till Venice, a 5 day field trip to the water city once again! The stress of picking clothes ready for many more shoots whilst on holiday. I went back in 2009 and can't wait to experience Venice in another light. Famous for their Architecture, islands, the city with no roads & the heart of Italian cooking! Mama Mia!

With this inspired look today, I have gone for layers, repetitive patterns and warm comforting textures. The market hat may be last years summer's trend, but I like the straw like interweaved texture and browns that connote autumn. Notice the leaves in the straw hat? Getting into the autumn theme with wooly cardigans, scarfs and glove.
